Maybe we should call them the Fantastic Four? My top-ranked teams remain the same in both baseball and softball, but find out who's rising and who's falling as the regular season nears its end.
Roosevelt is still unbeaten at 24-0. They took another sweep against Mitchell and beat Moorhead (MN) and O'Gorman in the last week. They finish out their season with games against Harrisburg, Yankton and Lincoln next week. Pierre stays close at number two. They got a no-hitter from Joe King against Sturgis, their pitching staff has been outstanding this year. Mitchell creeps up to number three, they're only losses this season have been to the elite teams in the state but they are in good shape for a postseason push. Then Brandon, Harrisburg and Brookings have all been vulnerable but have shown signs of being true contenders as well.
