Even though I’ve been a South Dakotan since birth, I’ve gotten a great feel for the North Dakota sports scene during my three years at MidcoSN® – initially through covering high school football and track across the state. More pertinently, I called UND men’s and women’s basketball games last winter for our network. My time doing play-by-play for UND hoops at the Betty gave me a whole new perspective on North Dakota fan base’s level of passion. Season ticket holders who live in Bismarck and beyond but still never miss a game? A student section that always goes all out? Fans who travel to Denver, Tampa and everywhere in between to show their support? Done, done and done.
With the way students, alumni and fans show deep ownership and care for the university, I know that it’ll take time to be fully accepted into the UND family. I want you to know that I’m committed to giving this position all the passion, dedication and hard work this network, university and the great people of North Dakota deserve. I’m grateful for the opportunity, and it’s one I intend on making the most of.
My wife Kelsey and I couldn’t be more excited to make the move from Sioux Falls to Grand Forks to start the next chapter of our lives in North Dakota! Thanks in advance for your support, and go UND!
